CLUE RECAP BOARD

After the first and second rounds, Sanders would remind the panel what words they had uncovered on the Answer Board. Then Sanders would turn to a monitor, located next to her desk, that displayed a one- to four-item list of some of the facts that had been uncovered in the last round. This monitor, called the Clue Recap Board, sometimes displayed useful facts; sometimes it (or at least whomever typed in the text) showed comments or "clues" that were intended purely humorously. This page contains some of the many amusing items seen on the Board throughout the show's run.

QUOTES

One of the show's highlights was the banter both among the panelists and with the host. Some of the lines remind of the similar back-and-forthing of the '70s show Match Game, which was always popular for such repartee as occurred between the celebrities, and of course host Rayburn's own humorous interjections into the verbal goings-on. Danny and Lori Beth were to Figure It Out what Charles and Brett were to Match Game, so when Lori Beth left the show, the panelist interactions quickly degenerated into what was often little more than absurd "dialogue" between the other panelists, who had no on-screen chemistry. This page highlights some of the amusing dialogue of Figure It Out.
